25 Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles Installed in Bengaluru on Pilot Basis Under Fame-India Scheme: Shri Piyush Goyal

The Minister of State (ICfor Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines, Shri Piyush Goyal, while giving a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today, informed the House that under Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &Electric Vehicles in India [FAME-IndiaScheme of the Government, 25Charging Stations have been installed at 6 different locations in Bengaluru by M/sMahindra REVA Electric Vehicles PvtLtd, as a pilot project. Based on the proposals received under FAME Scheme, charging infrastructure in   selected   citieslocations   would   be    sanctioned   by   the Department of Heavy Industries.

Shri Goyal also informed that the Project Implementation & Sanctioning Committee (PISCunder the chairmanship of Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries has sanctioned following proposal of charging infrastructures under FAME-India Scheme:
